Need lumber delivered to your home or jobsite? Colonial Building Supply delivers small orders, full lumber packages, and materials needed at different stages of construction.
From our Centerville lumberyard, we serve homeowners and contractors across Northern Utah, including Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, Davis County, Ogden, and surrounding communities. Delivery elsewhere in Utah can also be arranged.
Tell us what you need, where it needs to go, and when you need it. Our team will check material availability and coordinate the delivery around your project.

Can I get lumber delivered the same day?
Often, yes—when the material is in stock and the delivery schedule allows it.
Colonial’s fleet includes large trucks, smaller vehicles, box trucks, and one-ton trucks. That range helps us respond to different order sizes and jobsite needs without using the same vehicle for every delivery.
Ordering earlier in the day gives our team more opportunity to arrange a same-day delivery. Availability also depends on the materials, destination, and scheduling. Dispatch or your sales representative will confirm the timing for your order.
Specialty items need to be ordered and received before we can deliver them. Ask our team about the expected arrival and delivery schedule for those products.
Do you deliver small lumber orders to homeowners?
Yes. You do not need to be ordering a full house package to request delivery.
Colonial sends out small orders daily using one-ton trucks. Homeowners, remodelers, and contractors can ask about delivery for the quantities their projects need.
Whether you have a short material list or a larger package, contact our Lumber department for current pricing and delivery options.
Tell us about the terrain and where you need the materials
The delivery address is the starting point. It also helps to know what the jobsite is like and where you want the lumber placed.
Tell our team about:
- Rough or uneven terrain.
- Narrow driveways or restricted access.
- The location where you want materials unloaded.
- Any obstacles or conditions that could affect truck or forklift access.
Those details help us select the appropriate vehicle and unloading method. For jobs requiring onsite placement, a truck carrying a piggyback forklift may be suitable. More accessible locations may allow a different truck and unloading approach.
Our team will discuss what is practical for your site. Sharing access and placement details before dispatch helps us plan the delivery properly.
Schedule material drops around your construction phases
You may need framing lumber now and additional sheet goods or other materials later.
For staged deliveries, talk with Colonial’s dispatch team or your sales representative. They will coordinate the scheduling based on your job’s requirements.
Let us know which materials you need for each phase and when you expect the site to be ready. If your construction schedule changes, contact the team so the delivery arrangements can be reviewed.
Need help developing the material list first? Our Estimating and Takeoffs service can review your supplied plans and prepare material counts for pricing.
Delivery service that includes communication
Getting materials to the jobsite is one part of the experience. Knowing what arrived and having someone follow up matters, too.
In a review published on our website, builder Matthew Smith described Colonial team member Shaq as:
“Shaq is extremely helpful and efficient.”
Matthew also described receiving delivery photos and follow-up texts checking how the delivery went and whether he needed anything else. He praised the organized service he had received while working with Colonial.

What does lumber delivery cost?
Our published standard-area charges are a $40 fuel charge plus an $85 delivery fee, covering jobsites from Logan to Santaquin and from Grantsville to Heber.
For large orders, the $85 delivery fee may be waived. The fuel charge still applies. Deliveries outside the standard area are quoted individually.
Ask our team to confirm the charges for your address and delivery arrangements, including any staged drops.
