You’ve got plans and a crew ready to frame. You shouldn’t have to call three yards and piece together a list. At Colonial Building Supply in Centerville, you send your plans, we build the material list, and the whole package arrives at your jobsite on one schedule. Here’s how it works, start to finish.

What’s in a framing lumber package?
A framing package is every structural piece needed to frame the house, ordered together so nothing holds up your crew. A typical package includes:
- Dimensional lumber: studs, plates, and blocking in the lengths your plans call for
- Headers and beams: built-up headers or engineered beams sized for each opening
- Floor and roof framing: joists, rafters, or custom roof trusses
- Sheathing: OSB or plywood for walls, floors, and roof
- Treated lumber: sill plates and anything in contact with concrete or ground
- Connectors and hardware: Simpson Strong-Tie hangers, straps, and ties
We stock lumber from mills including Weyerhaeuser, Boise Cascade, West Fraser, Canfor, Hampton Lumber, and Sierra Pacific, plus AdvanTech sheathing.

Step 1: Send us your plans
Email or bring in your plans, even rough ones. The more detail on wall heights, openings, and roof design, the tighter the list. Not sure your plans are complete? Call and talk it through with the contractor desk first.
Step 2: Get a free material takeoff
Our estimators turn your plans into a line-by-line material list with quantities and lengths. A good takeoff does two things: it keeps you from paying for lumber you won’t use, and it keeps your crew from stopping mid-wall for a missing header. Learn more about our estimating and takeoff service.
Step 3: Order trusses early
Roof trusses are built to order, so they’re often the longest lead time in the package. We help with design, ordering, and scheduling so your trusses arrive when the walls are ready, not two weeks after.
Step 4: Schedule delivery in phases
You don’t need the whole house on day one. Most builders take the package in phases: floor system and treated plates first, then walls, then roof framing and sheathing. Phased drops keep the site clear and lumber out of the weather.
Our fleet includes boom trucks, flatbeds, semis, and piggyback forklifts, so we can set material where you need it. Most in-stock lumber can go out same day or next day.

What does delivery cost?
Standard delivery is a flat $40 fuel charge plus an $85 delivery fee anywhere from Logan to Santaquin and from Grantsville to Heber. On large orders like a full framing package, we can waive the delivery fee. Outside that area, we’ll quote it individually and keep it competitive.
